The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Internationalized dpkg now available!

Well, after slaving away over a hot Emacs process for hours, I
wearily but proudly announce the first cut of the internationalized
version of dpkg.

So far, dpkg, dpkg-deb, dpkg-split, and md5sum are done, as well as
the stuff in lib/ which they depend on. Dselect I left alone, as
radical changes seem to be in it's future anyway. I've compiled
it successfully, used it successfully, and I don't think I introduced
any particularly horrid bugs.

Of course, this is not a particularly useful thing without
translations, so if you want dpkg to speak your particular language,
now's the time. I already have a volunteer for french (Christophe
Le Bars), but everything else is up for grabs. If you plan on
doing a translation, send me email and I'll make sure nobody else
has already done it.

The necessary files are in /home/Debian/galenh on master. I've
uploaded the new sources as a tar archive (dpkg-intl.tar.gz), and
I can upload a diff against 1.4.0.5 if anybody wants it. dpkg.pot
is also uploaded separately, for those who just wish to grab that.
If you have a hard time getting to master, drop me a line and I'll
email you a copy.

Good luck, folks. Hope it works.
